I tried to call several times the voice box is full they refused to get back to me I've been trying and have not heard I ordered a $69 item was supposed to be shipped out on the 14th they say it takes 226 working days it is now the 21st have not received it cannot reach them I would stay away from the store I will never buy again there
Enter nearly 2 years later and they botched an order again. This time, the set is mismatched, featuring entirely different knights on both sides, different colored pawns and even some differently weighted pieces. This time I didn't want a replacement and sent it back for a full refund. On the day I am writing this review, they've had the set for nearly a week and STILL haven't refunded my money. I spoke with two representatives on the phone, both whom said they would help expedite the refund, and both who did absolutely nothing. I just had to file a Paypal dispute!

Twice I have ordered a chess set from this company and twice they've screwed it up. I suppose I should blame myself for ordering from them again, but I must be a glutton for punishment. The first time I ordered from them, they sent me the wrong set entirely. They claimed "we switched manufacturers, so some of the sets may not match the photos online". Luckily they still had the original set as pictured and sent the proper replacement.
I have had one dealing with The Chess Store and it was very, very good. previously had given The Chess Store a negative review but after Ryan Beck emailed me I have changed my review. He took care of the issue and granted my request. I have referred many backgammon players to his place of business and hope to continue to do so.
I am not sure if I am going to get a replacement or if it will match the rest.
