I have taken our guinea pigs here twice. I feel the front office staff could be a little bit more welcoming and the support staff could be more knowledgeable, therefore I have given only 4 stars. I do really like Dr. Surrency. She is very personable, compassionate and knowledgeable. She even gave our piggies kisses! Besides her obvious affection and care for our pets, she also interacts really well with my children. Their visit charges are comparable to other clinics in our area. As far as their location, it is easy to get to if coming from the west side of Hillsboro. I would appreciate it if parking were better accessed and demarcated. When we have to hand carry our little family members, I don't want to have to trek a block to the clinic. The two times we were there, I felt like I was maybe parking in a neighboring business' lot, but it wasn't clearly defined. I do like the clinic and Creamer and Swirl will continue to get their care there.
I have always had positive experiences when I take my pets to the Hillsboro Veterinary Clinic. The staff is very kind and caring. I have been taking our dogs there for many years. Thanks for being a part of our family. Kristi Roberts
Found out our 14 year old cat has developed diabetes and they explained the entire process to us. What type of special foods to feed her, best way to give her shots, follow up. The whole thing.
This place is the best! They treated us right from the get-go, very helpful, honest and up front about charges, tests... Everything.
If you need a vet and this is the area you live in, or even if it's a bit of a drive... This place is the absolute best!
I took my Chloe in with an eye injury. I called the night before frantic and promptly received a call the next morning telling me to bring her in. Everyone at the office was so nice and friendly. Dr was so loving towards my pup. Loved it so much I brought my other pup in for her yearly exam. So happy for google and finding this office.
Went in for my 8 week puppy. The technicians were really nice and caring, but I was talked to as if my puppy was a market strategy to get me to buy stuff. More and more was tacked on and it seemed like I was just pushed into a corner to "keep him healthy". Two of my visits were roughly around $300 ($600 total) and those were the two times I went in. I was also advised to buy about 3 different types of food. When I mentioned they already got me to buy one type of food, they tried to convince me that I needed more. This place is awful. Expect to be guilt tripped into doing more tests for your animal than is required.
Brandy at the desk... Stacy the vet technician... and Dr Finnigan who was filling in for Dr Healey who was out of the country. The Dr even called each of us separately to explain what was needed and sent follow up emails with a TON of info!!
